Joe Mauer Field hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.

The Orlando Thoroughbreds got a magnificent performance from pitcher Leo Toledo, who muffled the Minnesota offense en route to a tight, 2-0 Thoroughbreds win at Joe Mauer Field. In 5.1 innings, Toledo surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. Sean Isaac notched his 5th save of the season.

Jeronimo Limon had a big solo home run for the Thoroughbreds in the top of the fourth inning. With Orlando leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from former first round draft pick Enrique Garza and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Thoroughbreds on top, 2-0.

"The old adage is true," said Limon. "Good pitching stops good hitting."

Orlando is in first place in the National League South with a record of 22-17.
