Bombers Win at Boston, 10-3
|
The 10-3 Bronx win over Boston was due in large part to Pattara Pornchanok. The Bombers first baseman went 4-5 with 4 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. A.J. Livan earned the win, while 23-year old right-handed pitcher Lavern Wilder took the loss for Boston. The Bombers now own a record of 78-84.
Antonio Bellez had a big bases-clearing double for the Bombers in the top of the first inning. With Bronx leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Lavern Wilder, who is the 2nd-best prospect in the Red Sox organization, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bombers ahead, 4-0.
"Glad to go home with a win," said Pornchanok.
