De La Cruz Shines in 8-3 Portland Win
The Portland Rose beat the Anchorage Otters by a score of 8-3. Portland designated hitter Diego De La Cruz deserved the lion's share of the credit. De La Cruz went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Rose. The last-place Rose are now 69-89, the Otters 95-63.

De La Cruz had a critical at-bat in the bottom of the seventh for Portland, coming through with a run-scoring single to put Portland in front, 4-3.
