Nakoon Saelam put on a hitting clinic as the Cardenas Rangers dumped the Pinar del Rio Thrashers, 7-6, at Ballpark Cubana.

The Cardenas center fielder made Pinar del Rio defenders earn their pay, lashing Pinar del Rio pitching for 5 hits in 7 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Saelam said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
