The Kansas City Athletics picked up a win at Candlestick Park, taking down the San Francisco Giants, 6-4. Starting pitcher Juan Nieves was a big reason why. Kansas City used the timely hitting of Ezequiel Tovar to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Athletics on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I'm proud to wear a Kansas City jersey," Tovar told the Kansas City Gazette. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
