Husband Wins Award for NYPL Dominance

At the young age of only 25, Craig Husband has been named the New York-Pennsylvania League Reliever of the Year Award winner for 1978.

The future appears bright for the Newark Co-Pilots relief ace, who captured the award with 10 saves in 19 relief appearances, 60 strikeouts in 32.1 innings and a record of 2-4 to go with his 2.23 ERA.

He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Dave Schoppee of the Batavia Trojans finished second in voting, while Tom Thurberg of the Oneonta Yankees finished third.
