Norris Silences Lodi, 2-0 Tuesday, August 14th , 1984 In an excellent mound performance, Mike Norris of the San Jose Bees whitewashed the Lodi Crushers 2-0 on a 2-hitter. "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches," he said after the game. In all, the San Jose hurler rang up 9 strikeouts and 3 walks in the shutout win. "We just didn't swing the bats well today," said Crushers manager Geoff Hanvey. "Norris did a good job keeping us guessing." This year Norris has fanned 195 in 198 innings and collected a 15-6 record with a 2.23 ERA. |
