Clow Goes Deep 3 Times Tuesday, August 7th , 1990 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Waterloo Municipal Stadium buzzing, Appleton Foxes first baseman Dennis Clow blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 14-2 win over the Waterloo Diamonds. "Everything was clicking," Clow told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Clow shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Foxes manager said. "Dennis played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Dennis Clow walked in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. On the year Clow has hit .281 with 13 home runs, 58 RBIs and scored 49 runs. |
