Depending on your loyalties, the Round 1 was either thrilling or heartbreaking.

The series went down to its final game, with the Beloit Brewers and the Burlington Rangers giving their fans plenty of drama. In the end, the Brewers came out on top, winning 2-1 at Telfer Park today to take the series 4-3.

"We're lucky to be going into the Round 2," said Beloit pitcher Larry Jackson. "If all the series are like this, it'll definitely be an entertaining postseason."

Jackson earned series MVP honors, hitting for a .458 average, with 1 home runs, 2 RBI and 5 runs scored.

The Beloit Brewers will play against the Madison Muskies in the next round. Madison won their series against the Wausau Timbers 4 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
