Gale Spins Shutout Against Yankees
Wednesday, August 29th , 1979
Sometimes even Rich Gale of the Waterbury A's isn't sure which pitcher will show up when he takes the mound.
"I've been good sometimes and bad sometimes," he said.
He looked good this time and made the West Haven Yankees look bad, blanking them by the score of 5-0.
Gale tossed a 4-hit shutout, totaling 7 strikeouts and giving up 3 walks.
Over the season Gale has thrown 186.2 innings and dished out 134 strikeouts with a 20-2 mark and a 2.89 ERA.
