Freed Stops Oklahoma City Saturday, August 11th , 1990 Dan Freed of the Iowa Cubs shut down the Oklahoma City 89ers 3-0 on a 8-hitter, holding them scoreless while ringing up 5 strikeouts and allowing 1 walk. After the game Freed said, "Guys have been fouling off a lot of pitches lately and I've been getting into too many deep pitch counts, but I'm pleased with the way things went today. I went right after them and stayed ahead in the count." Season-to-date Freed has 7 saves in 18 relief appearances with a 4-4 record and 2.10 ERA. |
