No Late-Season Magic Coming: Portland Out of Playoffs Monday, September 13th , 1982 The Portland Beavers may feel they were as good as the playoff teams this year, but the club has ultimately fallen short of qualifying and will watch the postseason from the sidelines. "It's frustrating because we really feel like we could have given any of the teams a run for their money," said reliever Mike Willis. This is the 2nd time in a row that the Beavers have missed the playoffs.Their last payoff appearance was in 1980.Portland has won the Round 1 2 times in their history. |
