No Hits for Perez, Streak Ends at 27
Sunday, September 12th , 1976
All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Tony Perez as he saw his 27-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 5 at-bats at the hands of the Sacramento Solons.

It wasn't all bad for the 34-year-old first baseman and the Phoenix Giants however, as they defeated Sacramento 5-3 at Hughes Stadium.

When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Perez laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today."

In his 1976 season totals, Perez has 4 home runs, .462 BA, .480 OBP, 25 RBIs and 24 runs scored.
