Trappers End Horner's Streak
Saturday, July 31st , 1982
All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Bob Horner as he saw his 28-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 3 at-bats at the hands of the Edmonton Trappers.

It wasn't all bad for the 24-year-old third baseman and the Tacoma Tigers however, as they defeated Edmonton 8-6 at Cheney Stadium.

When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Horner laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today."

In 38 games this season Horner has batted at a .297 pace with 49 hits and 12 home runs.
