The Houston Astros got a great start from 34-year-old right-hander Kendon Mallory, as Houston won the contest, 4-1, at Astrodome 1965-1994. Mallory threw 9.0 innings of 8-hit ball in the win, which knotted the best-of-5 series at 1-1.

Mallory went the distance for Houston, allowing 1 run on 8 hits, while striking out 6.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Mallory.

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium 1966-1973 in Atlanta.
