The Texas Rangers topped the Cleveland Guardians, 6-1, in AL action at Progressive Field. The standout performance belonged to Texas pitcher and Cuba, native Rey Gonzalez. With the victory, the Rangers record stands at 28-32.

Texas used a clutch at-bat from Japhet Amador to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Rangers ahead, 6-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Rey never lets off the gas," said Texas manager Chris Smith. "Good, bad, or ugly, he never gives in."
