Yankees Take Down Red Sox, 7-3

The New York Yankees topped the Boston Red Sox, 7-3, in AL action at Fenway Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of New York pitcher Danny Duffy. In 8.1 innings, Duffy surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 5. He allowed 3 runs. The Yankees win now puts them at 97-46.
Jacoby Ellsbury was a prime contributor to the New York win. He was 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the third with two out, the two-time All-Star hit a 2-run single. It made the score 4-0, in favor of the Yankees.
"Danny was pounding the zone," said New York manager Jeremy Lemmon.
