Astros Win at Cincinnati, 5-1
|
The Houston Astros went home winners at Great American Ball Park, thanks in large part to starter Andrew Bailey. Bailey stifled the Cincinnati Reds, enabling Houston to grab the 5-1 win. Bailey picked up the win for Houston, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. With the win, Houston elevates its record to 3-2.
Houston used the hitting of Asdrubal Cabrera to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Astros on top, 2-0. For the game, Cabrera had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Andrew mixed and matched," said Houston manager DJ Morton.
