Arner Twirls 7-0 Shutout

It wasn't easy but Mike Arner made it look that way.
Arner silenced the Carolina Mudcats, 7-0, in a Huntsville Stars triumph at Five County Stadium today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Arner said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up no walks and 3 hits.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."
On the year Arner has worked 171.2 innings with 124 strikeouts en route to a 12-10 record and 3.20 ERA.
