Mets Topple Marlins, 2-0
|
The New York Mets got a magnificent effort from pitcher Shane Komine, who kept Florida hitters in check en route to a 2-0 Mets win at Citi Field. New York now has a record of 11-8.
Making an impact for the home team was Justin Turner. In the bottom of the second, the 24-year old third baseman had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 2-0, Mets.
"Shane did a tremendous job," said New York manager CJ Smith.
