Phillies Suffer 10-7 Loss to Cardinals
|
Miguel Cabrera had a hand in St. Louis defeating Philadelphia by the score of 10-7. Cabrera went 2 for 3 at the plate, scoring 3 times and driving in 2 runs. Ching-Lung Lo, who is tied for 10th in the NL in wins with 9, earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 9-2. David Carpenter collected save number 2.
Maracay, Venezuela native Miguel Cabrera had a clutch at-bat in the bottom of the seventh for the Cardinals. With St. Louis trailing 7-6, he hit a 2-run single.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Cabrera told the St. Louis Observer.
Today's win puts St. Louis at 54-40, while Philadelphia falls to 42-53.
