Blue Jays Bang Out 7-3 Win Versus Baltimore
|
Behind a fine performance from Justin Nelson, the Toronto Blue Jays knocked off the Baltimore Orioles, 7-3. Nelson was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Blue Jays. Toronto reliever Jonathan Hovis picked up the win, while Travis Beazley took the loss for Baltimore. The 4th-place Blue Jays now sit at 45-46.
Nelson had a crucial hit for Toronto with one out in the top of the fourth. With Toronto trailing 2-1, Nelson hit a 3-run home run. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Blue Jays ahead, 4-2.
