GCL Takes Round 1
|
The GCL White Sox have advanced to the Round 2, thanks in large part to the pitching performance of right-hander Tim Scott.
Scott led the way during the Round 1, as his club eliminated the GCL Mets 4-2.
The final game came tonight at Thomas J. White Stadium with a 8-4 victory for GCL.
"I don't think I did anything special or better than any of my teammates that helped us get here," Scott said. "It takes everyone to win a series."
En route to the MVP award, he registered a 0.00 ERA over 1 innings pitched, with 0 strikeouts.
The GCL White Sox don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the GCL Cubs - GCL Orioles series. GCL leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
