Bolsinger Fires No-Hitter
The Akron Aeros relied on no-hit stuff from starter Mike Bolsinger to defeat the Trenton Thunder, 1-0, at Mercer County Waterfront Park.

"It's quite a thrill," Bolsinger told the media afterward. "This is a top-notch league. A no-hitter against any team in the league is something special. I can't believe I did it."

To get his name logged in the Eastern League records, he stopped Trenton cold and hitless, surrendering 2 walks and fanning 11 of the 29 batters he faced.

Akron manager Eugeniuo Cotes was in a jovial mode after the game, kidding with reporters that Bolsinger "made managing easy today."

"I didn't have hardly any decisions to make like I usually do," he said. "I didn't even have to come up with a pinch hitter."

So far this year, Bolsinger has compiled a 7-1 record with a 2.35 ERA.
