The Los Angeles Angels outlasted the Texas Rangers, 9-8, in 12 innings. Wes Kath led the way, going 3-for-6 for Los Angeles. The Angels, now 18-8, have played some good baseball in the early going.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With two out, Kath hit a fastball from Andres Rivera for a run-scoring double. The Angels, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Los Angeles manager Wladimir Sutil.
