Rangers Rally Late to Nip Mashers

The Sacramento Mashers got a superb performance from pitcher Roylan Stack, but the Texas Rangers still won the game, 4-3. Stack threw 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball. The Rangers, now 5-13, have not found much traction so far in 2039.
Texas got a knockout punch from Mike Duncan. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"Bottom line," said Sacramento skipper David Macias, "we didn't play well enough to win."
