The Miami Marlins extended their winning streak.
The Miami Marlins topped the Los Angeles Dodgers, 6-4, in National League action at Dodger Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Miami pitcher and Wilmington, Ohio, native Bobby Olson. Miami is now 8-1.
Miami used the hitting of Charlie Monnig to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put the Marlins on top, 1-0. For the game, Monnig had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Miami manager Jeremy Griffiths.
