Namito Ando Says Farewell to Baseball Friday, September 22nd , 2023 It's a somber day for Blues fans as Namito Ando announced that he will retire at the end of the 2023 season. The Auckland reliever attributed his retirement to his age and loss of skills. "I'm not the type of player I want to be anymore," he said. "It's harder go out there and be competitive. I'm not at the end of my rope yet, but I've seen guys hang around too long. I'm not going to be one of them." |
