Injury Shuts Down Benitez for Season Monday, September 18th , 2023 In a news release, the Managua Indios announced that starting pitcher Keyner Benitez would miss the rest of the season due to a torn labrum. Benitez sustained the injury on 09/15/2023. He "will be sorely missed," said his manager. Thus far this season Benitez has posted a 3-19 record, started 27 games, struck out 72 batters in 106.1 innings and compiled a 8.13 ERA. |
