Chupacabras Win World Series Monday, October 9th , 2023 The Chihuahua Chupacabras "proved we can handle pressure" by beating the World Series and eliminating the Culiacán Serpents, according to series MVP Nick Bottari. "This is the big stage, we're off to the Round 3 and looking towards the Round 4," he said. "There's a lot of pressure at this time of year and it's only going to get more intense from here. But I think we can handle it just fine." Chihuahua won the final game 6-1, to wrap up the series 4-1. Bottari led his team to the series win by putting up a .348 average, with a .348 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs.
