Mercado Hitless, Stopped by Coyotes Saturday, August 5th , 2023 Arturo Mercado went 0-for-3 at Pythons Field today to break his consecutive-game hitting streak at 23 games. The 20-year-old Puebla first baseman failed to get a hit today in the Pythons 2-0 victory over the Saltillo Coyotes at Pythons Field. Mercado did not make himself available to reporters after the game. "I think Arturo is a little upset," Puebla manager Fidel Cisneros said. "He'll get over it." Currently Mercado is batting .292 with 23 home runs, 93 RBIs and 63 runs scored. |
