Silva Is SC1's Top-Rated Rookie

Rookies are supposed to be seen, but not heard. But that wasn't the case with Guadalajara's Rubi Silva. He spoke up loudly and often this season on his way to winning the Stars Conference Rookie of the Year Award for 2023.
To be accurate, the 34-year-old right fielder let his performance do the talking. In his debut season Silva piled up some good stats, hitting .346, driving in 111 runs and scoring 113 times, while playing in 153 games. The Jackrabbits newcomer also had 37 doubles, 3 triples and 37 home runs.
He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Alejandro Romero of the Potosino Phantoms finished second in voting, while Jabari Henry of the Chihuahua Chupacabras finished third.
