Super Swinger -- Achecar Slams 5 Hits Friday, September 1st , 2023 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Warsaw's Freddy Achecar made it happen today against the Shamrocks. Everything came together at the plate for the 26-year-old first baseman as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Phoenix to a 10-2 win at Phoenix Park. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Achecar said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Freddy Achecar singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Gair Youngson in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
