Ferrell Gets Award for Relief Work

2023 was a year to remember for Riley Ferrell.
The Athens Olympians closer was the owner of a 1.30 ERA this season over 69 innings of work. He made 66 relief appearances and had 40 saves, 127 strikeouts, 26 walks and a record of 4 wins and 2 losses.
He's also now got some hardware, as the 30-year-old has been named the Sub League 2 Reliever of the Year Award winner.
"It's something I can tell my grandchildren some day, pretty special," he said.
He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 20. Ricardo Gomez of the Copenhagen Vikings finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Andy Fisher of the Moscow Crushers finished third with 1 first place vote.
