Noftle Gets 5 Hits Tuesday, June 13th , 2023 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Jerome Noftle today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Atomics Field and paced the Diamond Dawgs to a 20-9 win over the Omaha HS Atomics. After his dynamite batting performance, the Denver HS right fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Jerome Noftle hit a solo-shot off Daniel Haros in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Esteban Robles in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and walked in the 9th. To date this season Noftle is hitting .345 with 21 home runs. |
