SL1's Top Player for 2023 Named
Saturday, July 22nd , 2023
The manager of the Lubbock College Devils said he thinks Ulbrecht Godaschke is only going to get better as he gets older.
He may only be 17, but it will be hard to top the second baseman's 2023 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Conference 1 Most Valuable Player Award.
His winning campaign featured a .421 batting average and a .504 on-base percentage this year. In 78 games he piled up 122 hits, 21 doubles, 4 triples, 23 home runs, 78 RBIs and 74 runs scored.
He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Luis Castro of the Jackson College Hammerheads finished second in voting, while Ugo Lienard of the Newark College Muskies finished third.
