Round Rock Takes Round 1 Tuesday, September 12th , 2023 The Round Rock Express are riding high after winning the Round 1 and eliminating the Syracuse Mets by a series score of 4-2. The final blow came tonight at NBT Bank Stadium, when Round Rock secured its spot in the Round 2 with a 7-5 victory. "It feels good to put them away because we really didn't want to let them crawl back into this series," said third baseman Dustin Harris, who was named series MVP. "A team like that, you need to bury them when you get the chance." Harris certainly helped his team's cause, as he hit .519 with a .548 on-base percentage in the series. He also chipped in 0 home runs, drove in 1 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Round 2 matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
