Free-for-All Costs Allen and Thornton 2-Game Suspensions Wednesday, August 16th , 2023 The league commissioner has issued 2-game suspensions to Greg Allen of Worcester and Trent Thornton of Buffalo. The two players were involved in a confrontation during a recent Red Sox-Bisons game at Polar Park and now will miss time because of it. Neither player would comment on the suspensions. Currently Allen has 8 home runs and a .342 batting average. This season Thornton has made 16 relief appearances with no saves. In 43.1 innings he has fanned 55 hitters and recorded 6 wins and 1 loss with a 4.36 ERA. |
