Martinez Week's #1 Player Monday, July 17th , 2023 It was announced today by the Eastern League that Cedar Rapids first baseman Juan Martinez had received the Player of the Week Trophy for his superlative play last week. During his week-long batting binge he reeled off a .577 batting average, 15 hits and 3 home runs. Martinez also racked up 9 RBIs and scored 9 runs. So far on the season Martinez is hitting .280 with 10 home runs, 37 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He has 88 hits and played in 86 games. |
