Star of the Week Picked in WL Monday, July 10th , 2023 Kevin Smith made quite a splash in the Western League this past week. The Eugene Emeralds second baseman drilled opposing pitchers for 12 hits in 24 at-bats to roll up a .500 batting average and the Western League Player of the Week Award. He also contributed 5 home runs, 11 RBIs and 7 runs scored to his club's offensive attack. This year Smith has hit 28 home runs and posted a .256 batting average. |
