Jack Cushing Hurls No-No Against Hudson Valley Monday, July 3rd , 2023 It was a fantastic day for Las Vegas Aviators starter Jack Cushing and a lousy day for the Hudson Valley Renegades. The Las Vegas hurler's pitching artistry completely befuddled and bewildered the Renegades, as the Aviators cruised to a 3-0 win. When it was all over, Cushing was credited with one of the rarer feats in baseball -- a no-hitter. "The ball was moving and darting, and best of all, going where I wanted it to go," Cushing said later. He rang up 6 strikeouts and allowed 2 walks while shutting Hudson Valley down at Dutchess Stadium. In the current season in 13 starts, Jack Cushing has a record of 7-1 with 65 strikeouts in 93.1 innings and a 3.66 ERA. |
