Injury Shuts Down Kim for Season Saturday, August 19th , 2023 Obviously disappointed, Gye-hyun Kim confirmed today that his season is officially over. The Nagasaki reliever offered mostly monosyllabic responses to reporters. "Nope," he said, when asked if he might possibly return this year. The 17-year-old Kim suffered a torn labrum on 08/16/2023 and has been out of action since. Kim has compiled an ERA of 3.28 so far this season, winning 8 games with no losses and 1 save. In 47 relief appearances he has hurled 71.1 innings, yielded 64 hits and struck out 52. Opposing hitters have batted .239 against Kim. |
