Twins Earn 6-4 Win Against Rays
|
Another day, another victory for the red-hot Minnesota Twins.
Minnesota third baseman Kyle Farmer had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Tampa Bay Rays, 6-4. Jhoan Duran, now 3-0, was credited with the win. He allowed 1 run on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 2. Jovani Moran closed the door for Minnesota, picking up his 1st save of the year.
Farmer had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 2-1 fastball from Pete Fairbanks, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Twins a 6-4 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Farmer.
"Exciting game to play in," said Farmer. "Getting the win makes it even better."
The second-place Twins have won 8 straight.
