The Boston Red Sox got a sterling performance from pitcher Nick Pivetta, but the Minnesota Twins still prevailed, 5-2. Pivetta threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Jhoan Duran finished the game for Minnesota and earned his 14th save. The second-place Twins have won 5 straight.

In the bottom of the eighth, Minnesota center fielder Max Kepler gave his team the lead. With one out and the bases loaded, Rozycki hit his 13th double of the year. Boston pitcher Garrett Whitlock surrendered it. With that, the Twins jumped in front, 3-2.

"This team is real focused right now," said Minnesota manager Jim Double Dip #1.
