Visiting Twins Beat Yankees, 3-1

Yankee Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the New York Yankees and Minnesota Twins.
The Twins grabbed a win, 3-1, at Yankee Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from New York pitcher Domingo Germán. Germán went 6 innings and allowed no runs. The winner was Caleb Thielbar in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Ron Marinaccio took the loss.
Minnesota needed the clutch hitting of Byron Buxton to notch the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Twins on top, 2-1. For the game, Buxton had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said New York manager Yokabomb Double Dip #2.
The win elevated the Twins to 28-22.
