The Cincinnati Reds topped the Colorado Rockies by the score of 6-5, with the largest share of the credit going to third baseman Elly De La Cruz. De La Cruz went 3 for 5 with 2 triples, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Reds. The winner was Cincinnati reliever Tejay Antone, now 6-2. The loser was Gavin Hollowell. Alexis Diaz nailed down his 31st save.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Nick Senzel came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Colorado pitcher Gavin Hollowell, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Cincinnati on top, 6-5.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Senzel, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."

The Reds move to 70-93 with the win, while the Rockies drop to 65-98.
