Led by Ricardo Méndez, the Buffalo Bulls defeated the Tucson Flames, 10-3. Méndez went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5 for the Bulls. Buffalo starter Foster Griffin was credited with the win after throwing 112 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 11-12. The 8th-place Bulls improved to 68-76.

The Bulls took the lead in the bottom of the fourth when Roberto Pena banged a two-out single. Buffalo had been trailing 3-2, but Pena hit a 0-1 fastball from Jonathan Cannon for a 2-run single.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Méndez.
