Portland had no answer for Las Vegas Red Aces starter Stephen Tarpley, who flummoxed Storm hitters as the Red Aces cruised to victory, 6-0. Las Vegas bumps their record to 89-50 with the win.

Tarpley, who dominated for Las Vegas, earned the victory to move to 10-3. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 5. Portland batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Tarpley said.
