Red Devils Stun Storm, 4-2

The Calgary Red Devils got a strong performance from pitcher Robert Carson, who stymied the Portland offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Storm Ballpark. Calgary reliever J.B. Bukauskas picked up the win, upping his record to 4-8. Rubby De La Rosa absorbed the loss. Ty Buttrey was credited with the save for Calgary, his 2nd of the season.
Jaylin Davis, the 29-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Davis contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Calgary up, 4-2.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Calgary skipper Nersha Double Dip.
The win elevated the Red Devils to 68-66.
