Braden Bishop did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the San Antonio Texans from losing, 8-7, to the Richmond Rush at Texans Field. Bishop was 3-4 with 2 triples and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Adrian Alcantara earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.2 innings. His record is now 3-1. The win makes Richmond 58-60.

Richmond grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Phil Gosselin delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 7-6 in favor of the Rush.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Richmond manager Matt Merullo.
